Its true that the taste is definitely the most important part of the pie, but these crazy piecrust techniques will make your pies look like a professional made them! They will be so beautiful, youre going to hate to cut them! From the simple, but elegant, to the complicated and beautiful, you are sure to find a way to boost the aesthetic appeal of all of your pies! There are several leaf options. Using a leaf cookie cutter you can make leaves just the place around on top of the crust for decoration. Or you could cut out many and then layer them in a circular pattern getting higher and more grand with each layer. It is stunning raw, and one of the prettiest pies Ive ever seen once its done. You will truly impress everyone who has the opportunity to see it before it is devoured! The classic lattice top may seem outdated to some, but I dont think anyone can deny that it makes a beautiful pie. If you wanted to make it a little different, twist the strands. Or something different and a little funky, try a twisted spiral pie crust top! It looks so pretty and hard to do! Of course you can let everyone think its hard, but it is way easier than it looks. You will get many props for this technique! If you are making a pie for a flower lover, or if you just want to do something different, cut petals out of dough and layer them in such a way to create a big flower right on top of your pie! It is pretty and charming and I know I would love it! Keep the crust simple, but I had a braided edge for a nice, understated touch! That may be one of my favorites! These crazy pie crust techniques will make your pies look like a professional made them.
