If you own chickens and collect their eggs daily, do you find yourself washing the shells? Or do you just leave them straight from the coop unwashed? Well Im sure a lot of you want to know the correct answer…and in most cases you DONT need to wash them!

By washing them, you take away the protective layer which helps the egg keep free of bacteria! But if washed and the coating layer called the bloom or sometimes the cuticle removed, you must then refrigerate them!
