Police Investigating Blood-Stained Knife Found on O.J. Simpson Property
A bloodstained knife was located on the estate of O.J. Simpson, according to multiple reports.
A construction worker supposedly located a “blood stained knife” entombed “years past” on the football legends property. Based on a report, the construction worker gave the knife to an off duty policeman who kept it in his house for a period of time before turning it around to the authorities in January.
Based on TMZ, law enforcement officials are currently examining the folding buck knife for hair and fingerprints since being handed over to the L.A.P.D.’s Robbery Homicide Division.
The knife was found by a construction worker around the perimeter of the house when it was being demolished in 1998, based on TMZ.
There are indications that it in fact had blood on it said TMZ Executive Producer Harvey Levin.
The off duty policeman retained it for a long time and never given in the knife as evidence. In late January, he contacted a buddy in the homicide section so he could frame the knife with the murder case amounts asking for the record amount for the murder case. The buddy told his superiors and he was compelled to law enforcement to give in the knife.
TMZ has reported the investigation of the knife has been kept top secret.
Simpson was found not guilty for the murders of his ex wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and friend Ronald Goldman, yet a murder weapon was never detected. Simpson cannot be prosecuted for the double murder of Goldman and Simpson, as a result of double jeopardy laws.
