Sometimes there is no way to right what has been wronged except by stepping to the plate and saying Im sorry.
That is exactly the scenario the fast-food chain Arbys has found themselves in after an employee refused to serve a uniformed police officer simply because he was a cop. Wednesday, the Chief of the Pembroke Pine Police Department issued a press release demanding a apology for the employees discriminatory action, the CEO of Arbys has responded.
After the employee made the metaphorically fatal decision to refuse service to someone who protects and defends them, the restaurant received massive backlash.
Honestly, this employees decision doesnt seem too smart does it? Adding in the blatantly disrespectful nature of this denial of service, it only adds insult to injury. The employee did not simply deny service to an individual that was causing a scene within the establishment… The discrimination was aimed directly at someone who is out there everyday to protect the public.
Particularly so, in todays political climate, where some are hell-bent on being certain police are in downright danger- and daily. With that said, for a fast food worker to deny the man service of his burger, or roast beef, in this case… Its an injustice of the highest order.

Either way, Arbys Chief Executive Officer Paul Brown and Senior Vice President of Operations Scott Boatwright spoke to Officer Giustino, the officer denied service, and convey their sincere apologizes on behalf of the organization, according to a police press release.
We take this isolated matter very seriously as we respect and support police officers in our local communities, Arbys said in a statement sent to FoxNews.com. As soon as the issue was brought to our attention, our CEO spoke with the Police Chief who expressed his gratitude for our quick action and indicates the case is closed. We will be following up with our team members to be sure that our policy of inclusion is understood and adhered to.
With any luck, police wont have a beef to pick with Arbys.
